A man has been found guilty in the brutal beating of an elderly woman at the Foggy Bottom Metro station.
Surveillance video showed James Dorsey beating and robbing an 83-year-old woman outside the station in May 2005. Dorsey confessed to the crime several years later, but then recanted his confession, saying it came after he’d asked for a lawyer.
Earlier this year, his first conviction in the case was tossed out.

Following a retrial, Dorsey was found guilty of assault while armed and armed robbery of a senior citizen Wednesday.
Dorsey will be sentenced Aug. 8.
The victim, who was a well-known vendor in Foggy Bottom, has passed away.
