Police have arrested a suspect in connection to the Nov. 24 murder of 37-year-old Ervin Gallas.

Julius Toney, 18, was found Monday afternoon in the 600 block of Charleston SE, said officer Tanner Tixier, a spokesman with the Albuquerque Police Department. He fled on foot but was caught shortly after, he added.

Michael Hall has been arrested for the killing.

Toney and 18-year-old Michael Hall are suspected of killing Gallas and wounding his 19-year-old nephew. According to a criminal complaint with the arrest warrant, Hall and Toney were visiting the uncle and nephew — identified only as JA — to smoke marijuana and tried to rob them. Toney struck JA with the butt of the shotgun and then Hall shot at JA and Gallas.

Hall is still outstanding, Tixier said.
