Family and friends of 19-year-old Trevor Williams, who was murdered inside his Bryan apartment on Sunday, can now sleep a little easier knowing police have the man in custody they believe is responsible for the crime.

Bryan police tell us 23-year-old Marcus Watson Jr. was already in custody in the Brazos County Jail, on an unrelated charge from College Station, when he was served a warrant for murder.

Watson is accused of shooting Williams in the head over an alleged drug deal that went badly.

Marcus Watson Jr has 7 previous drug charges.

Williams was taken off life support Monday.

“Hopefully this brings some type of closure for his murder,” said Officer Kelley McKethan. “However, nothing will be able to replace Trevor Williams in his family’s life.”

Police tell us they are still investigating but Watson is not being cooperative with authorities.
