A man was arrested in California on Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of a woman in the parking lot of a gas station in Las Vegas last week, according to police.
On July 17, police were called to a 7-Eleven at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Teddy Drive.
According to investigators, a man entered the vehicle of a woman, identified as 23-year-old Krystal McAdow, of Las Vegas, that was parked in the parking lot of the gas station. While the two were sitting in the car, a man drove up to McAdow’s vehicle and fired a shot through a windshield.

The gunman and the man inside McAdow’s vehicle both fled, according to police.
McAdow was rushed to a local hospital, where she died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officer Laura Meltzer, of Las Vegas Metro police, said Sam McFarland was arrested in Modesto, CA, on Wednesday night in connection with the shooting; however, she could not immediately provide details about his arrest.
Meltzer said McFarland is being brought back to Las Vegas.
