A Henrico man has been charged in connection to the fatal March shooting of Pamela-Ann Knyazher at a Jahnke Road gas station. Brandon L. Jackson, 26, of Edgewood Avenue in Henrico, was charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and willfully discharging a firearm in a public place, according to Richmond Police.
The shooting victim, 19-year-old Pamela-Ann Knyazher, of Henrico, was found shot outside the gas station. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.
“Jackson is currently incarcerated in a facility outside the city on unrelated charges,” a Richmond Police spokesman wrote in an email.
Court documents reveal that Jackson was sentenced to 10 years in prison in February, 2006. He would still be serving that sentence if the entire sentence had not been suspended by the judge.
Chesterfield court records show that police in that county picked up Cackson three days after Kynazher’s murder on a “revocation” charge, and he’s been at Riverside ever since.
Following the shooting, an employee at a nearby business told police he heard the gunfire and saw a man holding a gun jump into a black mini-van and drive away.
“Pam was cool with everybody,” former high school boyfriend Ricky Lewis recalled earlier this year. “In my eyes, she was extremely outgoing.”
