The 74-year-old White woman was hurled to the ground by the apeman after he had snatched her purse from her.

Ocoee police on Thursday arrested and charged a teen with attacking and robbing a 74-year-old woman at Publix.

Gary Cox, 14, has been arrested and charged with the robbery of Charlotte Dunaway on Aug. 15.

Police said Dunaway was leaving the Publix on Silver Star Road when Cox grabbed her purse and knocked her to the ground.

Dunaway said she suffered a broken collar bone, bruises all over her body and intense pain.

“He could have killed my mother. He could have murder on his hands,” said Kristi Tilton, the victim’s daughter. “Our biggest concern is just that he’s going to get a slap on the (wrist) by the court system and he’s going to be released to go out and do this to somebody else.”

One of the devils has now been arrested and Police say that they have identified another two.

Police said they have identified two other juveniles involved, but haven’t released their names.

Cox and the other two juveniles told police they were at the Publix at the time of the robbery, and Cox told police he was the one who grabbed Dunaway’s purse, subsequently knocking her to the ground.

Cox is no stranger to the system. According to police, Cox has nine felonies, including one robbery with a firearm charge.

Police said he was already behind bars at a juvenile detention center for another crime when he confessed to the purse-snatching.
