Holly Richardson was killed by Blacks in 2014.

West Palm Beach police said they made an arrest Sunday night in connection with the 2014 fatal shooting of a 34-year-old single mother.

Jonathan Peden, 30, was arrested in the homicide of Holly Richardson, who was killed just over a year ago at Madeira Court and Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard.

Holly’s co-worker at Duffy’s Sports Grill and dear friend, Jessica Johnston said, “It’s a relief.” She added, “I’m glad someone has finally come forward. We have a name of who did this awful thing. But honestly, it doesn’t bring her back. We still don’t know why, how someone could do something so horrible, so horrible to someone so wonderful.”

Holly’s mom, Robyn, released this statement:

“I am so thankful that the WPB police have arrested with NO bail a person connected to Holly’s murder. This horrible man has something to do with killing my daughter and he WILL be punished. I just want to say at this point I do believe it is the beginning of the end and hopefully some closure for so many of Holly’s friends, family, but most of all Holly’s 9 year old daughter. Rest in peace my angel. We’re getting there!.  I love and miss you so very much!! ❤ ❤”

Jonathan Peden gave the gun to the killer and then helped him to get rid of it.

Richarsdon was found shot to death in her car Oct. 23, 2014, only a block from Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the mother of a 9-year-old girl.

Police say Peden, who was arrested on Oct. 6 in an unrelated case, gave a gun to someone who intended to rob Richardson. Then, after Richardson was shot and killed, Peden got rid of the gun, according to investigators.

Peden appeared before a judge Monday morning and was denied bond. He’s charged with felony murder.
