Melinda Maltese Schaefer was murdered by her Black employee, because he thought she might sack him.

A former maintenance worker at a Reisterstown townhouse complex was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in prison in the 2013 murder of the property’s leasing manager.

Rashaan Williams, 29, had been convicted in April of second-degree murder in the death of Melinda Maltese Schaefer, according to the Baltimore County state’s attorney’s office.
