A 19-year-old and two 15-year-olds are charged in the severe beating of a homeless man last week in Louisville.

The victim’s identity has not been released, but police said he remains in critical condition.

Andre Richards and the two juveniles are charged with first-degree assault.

Police said the victim was found badly beaten at 16th Street and Northwestern Parkway on Tuesday.

Police said he’s been in a coma for the past week.

Two juveniles besides this ugly specimen were responsible.

They arrested Richards and the two juveniles on Sunday night.

Police said Richards admitted to his involvement in the assault.

They also said Richards and his co-defendants did not take the victim’s wallet.

Louisville Metro police spokesman Dwight Mitchell declined to say anything about what their motive might have been or the extent of the juveniles’ involvement.

“You know, it’s concerning anytime anybody does it, but obviously when it involves juveniles it raises the question of what we’re doing, or what their parents are not doing, the environments they’re in,” Mitchell said.
