A dispute over a man kicking a dog apparently led to a deadly shooting near Benton Harbor.
It happened Friday morning in the parking lot of Michiana Supply on Milton Street near Napier Drive.
Police say 53-year-old David Krieger saw Roy Thompson, 30, kicking a dog in the parking lot.
Krieger apparently confronted him, leading to an argument that allegedly ended with Thompson shooting him in the chest.
Thompson is in custody and facing open murder charges.
The best thing to do is avoid these people. They will absolutely kill you without thinking about it.
