Prosecutors have issued an open murder warrant for a Holland man in connection with a 31-year-old woman’s shooting death Friday, Nov. 5.
The warrant was issued for Jermaine Arnet Cooper, 35.
Cooper is suspected in the homicide of Melissa Moore, who was shot at Knapp Street near Truxton Drive NE in Grand Rapids about 4 a.m. Friday.
City workers cleaning storm-sewer debris witnessed the shooting and called 911
Police called out Cooper’s name after they were called about 6 p.m. Friday to Heron Court apartments while looking for the woman’s shooter. Officers executed a search warrant on an apartment, but did not locate a suspect.
Address records show Moore and Cooper lived on the same street in Holland at one point.
