A Clayton man is charged with murder for the alleged slashing that killed Joseph Pirri during a road rage incident in Deptford last month.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Everett E. Moore Jr. 54, at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
Moore, a construction worker from Clayton, was arrested at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday at a Williamstown service station by prosecutor’s office officers, Monroe Township police and U.S. Marshals.
He is charged with first-degree murder and weapons offenses and is scheduled to make his first appearance before a judge Thursday.
“This really serious road rage case … is something that never ever happens in Gloucester County,” Gloucester County Prosecutor Charles Fiore said.
Fiore would not reveal if Moore has any prior criminal convictions.
