If Darrell Dennis had not been let out on parole, they young White man would still be alive today.

Abrams was found dead at 11th and Woodrow streets in Little Rock in May of 2013. Police said the teen had been refueling his car with a friend when three people demanded a ride at gunpoint.

In June of 2013, officials told THV11 that Dennis should have been behind bars instead of walking the streets the night Abrams died. Mayor Mark Stodola was quoted at the time as saying, “This is a horrible tragedy. A young man has lost his life because of, what I think, is a dysfunction in the system in terms of our parole system and monitoring.”
