The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking a person of interest in connection with the slaying of a U.S. Army soldier who was killed in the driveway of his in-laws’ home on January 1.
Homicide investigators have released a picture of the man they are looking for in connection with the incident.
U.S. Army Sergeant Joseph Anderson was shot and killed in the 6100 block of Ray Street in Marrero after dropping off his three children at his in-laws.
Anderson, who survived two tours of duty in the Middle East, was shot in the head and his car was stolen.
Crimestoppers also announced an increase in the reward leading to the arrest or conviction of the killer. The reward has increased from $2,500 to $8,000.
