Protesters returning to downtown Cleveland were blocked by a line of police officers, some in riot gear, near the intersection of Huron and Ontario at Quicken Loans Arena.
Officers were also in force around Progressive Field as the Indians game ended. Many fans went up and shook the hands of officers.
There was a tense moment when a protester was arrested for assault when he was accused of throwing an object through the window at Harry Buffalo’s on East Fourth Street, injuring a patron at the restaurant.
The victim said that the man threw a sign through the window at the restaurant, knocking him unconscious.
