A man accused of murdering a woman in her home and setting her condo on fire will avoid life in prison after taking a plea deal.
44-year-old Onyale Hughes was charged for the murder of 62-year-old Robyn Furmanski.
Furmanski was pulled out from a fire in her condo at 1218 Oakland Road NE back on March 31 2016, but died at St. Luke’s Hospital. An autopsy revealed that she died from blunt force head trauma, smoke inhalation and thermal injuries, but her death was ruled a homicide.
