Police say a man who stole $42 dollars and shot a Caseyville business owner will spend 25 years in prison.
Phillip Smith, 33, was arrested for robbing the Ferguson Television and Satellite store in November 2013. During the robbery, Smith shot 63-year-old business owner Judy Ferguson, leaving 12 bullet wounds in her body. Ferguson did survive the incident.
Authorities say Smith will be on five years probation after he gets out of prison.
