Victim Danny DeGennaro
Victim Danny DeGennaro thought the two Black thieves wouldn’t be stupid enough to shoot him as he tried to push the killer’s shotgun out the way.

The Trenton, NJ man who fired the shotgun blast that killed a popular Bucks County musician in his Levittown, Pa. home nearly two years ago will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Breon Powell offered nothing in the courtroom when the judge officially imposed the sentence that was decided by a jury that had found the 22-year-old man guilty of first-degree murder (another related story).

Bucks County prosecutor Matt Weintraub says he will always wonder why Danny DeGennaro was targeted for this crime.

“And we will never know what actually occurred in that house in those fateful two minutes that are unaccounted for to this day,” he said.

Breon Powell and Jermaine M Jackson. Both were just juveniles at the time of the killing and both now have life sentences.

The mastermind of the botched robbery attempt was also convicted in the case and will serve a life sentence.

A third man, convicted with Powell, will be sentenced next week.

Two teenage women who cooperated with police and told juries they were recruited for the planned robber are scheduled for sentencing later this week.
