Tubbleville hit a tree at a gas station after he was shot, causing him to lose control of his car. The two men are believed to have just left a restaurant, and police say they found food inside the car.

Madison’s fingerprint was found inside the victim’s apartment and on his car. Witness testimony and DNA on a baseball cap near the scene also linked the crime to Madison.

Madison was held on $500,000 bond at the Dallas County Jail.
