Blacks being rehabilitated is a myth.
A convicted murderer with a shooting conviction in his past will spend what amounts to the rest of his life in prison.
Judge Roger Webber on Thursday sentenced Robbie Patton to 60 years in prison for the shooting death of one man and nine years for the wounding of three others a year ago in Campustown. But he ruled that the sentences could run at the same time.
Patton will have to serve all 60 years but was given credit for about 15 months already served.
Patton, who recently turned 20, was convicted by a jury in late September of the first-degree murder of George Korchev, 22, of Mundelein.
