Police have arrested the driver they say caused a crash in Stamford last month that killed two people.

Felicia Burl is accused of being at the wheel of a 2002 Nissan Altima that ran a red light near the Greenwich-Stamford line and slammed into a station wagon Nov. 7, WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau reported.

Judith Andriulli, a passenger in the station wagon driven by her husband, Anthony, died hours after being cut from the car by firefighters. She was 70.

Felicia Burl predictably fled from the carnage she had caused and was picked up by police weeks later.

Nixon Henry, 50, of Stamford, who police say was Burl’s boyfriend, also died. He was in the passenger seat of his car and was ejected through the windshield.

Stamford police Sgt. Andrew Gallagher said Burl fled the scene on foot and hid out for weeks with friends in Bridgeport and Stamford. She was taken into custody Wednesday.

“Eventually, we utilized the services of the U.S. Marshals, and they were able to make the final location identification, where she was taken into custody,” Gallagher said.

Police said Burl, 32, was uncooperative and has a lengthy criminal record.

She is charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter, two counts of felony evading responsibility and one count of second-degree assault.
