Black “students” at the University formed protest groups and demanded hefty budget concessions in exchange for keeping the peace on campus grounds. Their demands included…
• Increased financial aid for black students.
• Increased budget for the African American Studies program.
• Increased financial aid resources for retention of African American students at SLU
And much more… In fact, here’s a full list of their wacky demands for “equality” spending.
The students organized themselves into groups such as the Metro St. Louis Coalition for Equality, the Tribe X group, and the Black Student Alliance…Then set-up encampments [similar to the Occupy Movement] on university grounds.
Needless to say, they were a rowdy and noisy bunch of rabble-rousing ingrates…and the university eventually conceded to their demands.
In other words, the university was extorted. Although university President Fred Pestello insisted the concessions were not a “list of demands,” and that caving to each and every demand was not inappropriate at all.
But the school did [in his words] agree to “support” the budget demands made by the student groups…IF those groups agreed to remove their encampment from university grounds.
Essentially that’s extortion… But perhaps the word “support” makes Mr. Pestello feel better about his lack of fortitude. So for his sake we’ll call it “support”.
So essentially the school was “SUPPORTED” out of hundreds of thousands of dollars [in school budget], which will go toward African studies, equality courses, and enhancing diversity.
Even more damning is the fact that these concessions came just two days after a video came out which showed one of the black rabble-rousers babbling and carrying on about killing white people and raping white women.
The St. Louis University shakedown raises the question… At what point did the “cry for equality” become the demand for replacement?
Or better yet, when will people understand, that’s EXACTLY what going on?
