A man has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after he stole a laptop from a 68-year-old Greenwood man who died of a heart attack during the struggle.
The Index-Journal of Greenwood reports a jury Thursday convicted 26-year-old Wayne Smith. He pleaded guilty Monday to strong armed robbery before his trial began.

Circuit Judge Frank Addy Jr. sentenced Smith to 20 years, the total maximum on both charges, and took the unusual step of ordering the sentences to run consecutively.
