Black Thug Pleads Guilty to Murdering White Cab Driver and Offers to Testify Against Co-Defendants

A Mt. Vernon man has pleaded to guilty to the 2011 murder of a cab driver.

Damondros James now faces up to 60 years in prison when he’s sentenced next February.

James and three others were charged with shooting Charles Ellis in Mt. Vernon on May 31, 2011. James agreed to testify against his co-defendants if requested by prosecutors.

Demandre Black and Mark Taylor and Christopher Wells were also charged with murder. Wells has already pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
