The capital case of a Claremont man charged with a triple homicide is scheduled for a March 7, 2016, according to a Catawba County Superior Court news release published Tuesday.
Capital cases are cases that can result in the death penalty.
Everette Porshau Hewitt, 37, of Claremont, was charged with three counts of murder regarding the March 15, 2011 shooting deaths of Wade Sigmon, Susan Blevins and Connie Miller at Oak Knoll Mobile Home Park on Emmanuel Church Road in Conover.
Hewitt also is accused of shooting Joseph Burke in the neck in the same incident. Burke survived.
