Black Wanted in Connection with Fatal Stabbing of White Wife

Ashley Atherley was viciously attacked and stabbed to death in her own home. She had black eyes, a broken nose, and was stabbed in the back with her throat slashed when Police found her.

A San Bernardino man is wanted in the fatal stabbing of his 28-year-old wife, police said Thursday.

Edly Atherley, 33, is accused of killing his wife, Ashley, at their home in the 2000 block of College Avenue.

Deputies discovered the victim’s body in a bathroom on Sunday after responding to a welfare check at the residence, officials said.

Edly Atherley, who has a history of domestic violence, was last seen covered in blood and leaving the scene.

“The investigation revealed she had been stabbed and was deceased sometime between the 29th and the 1st,” Det. Al Tello said. “Evidence suggests this is domestic violence related.”
