A teen has been arrested as the suspect in an armed robbery, and now police believe he may be connected to a homicide that took place the same day.
The robbery occurred around 2:54 a.m. April 3 at the Minit Mart on Towne Center Drive.
18-year-old Anwar Ricketts is accused of brandishing a firearm, stealing around $260 in cash, and fleeing the business in a getaway vehicle.
Later that morning, police were called to the scene of a homicide on Devonport Drive. The victim, Christian Cubert, was believed to be shot while inside his vehicle.
Detectives were able to recover a fingerprint from the exterior passenger’s side rear door, which was later confirmed to belong to Ricketts.
