No one is safe with Blacks on the loose.
The Lawton Police Department says they’ve connected three men to multiple robberies and a homicide that occurred on a busy night for police and first responders in November.
It all started with a shots fired call just after midnight on November 5th at a convenience store, then an hour later police called to a shooting about 15 miles away from the first incident where a man was shot in the leg.
A half an hour later after that, and 2 miles away, a home was burglarized and the homeowner was stabbed.
Then just after two a.m. police received a call about an injury accident near 40th and Northwest Rogers Lane.
That’s where officials say a car crossed the median and crashed into the fence surrounding Fort Sill.
When police arrived they found the driver, 26-year old Joshua Whitehead, dead of an apparent gunshot wound to his chest, and found a bullet hole in the driver side door.
Then around three a.m., officers found a victim who was shot in the leg.
He told police that he was robbed and shot at by three black males in a black vehicle.
Police say formal charges have been filed against 24-year-old Jordan Gaines of Lawton, 18-year-old Malike Deandre Gibson of Lawton, and 19-year-old Keith Devon Dubose of Lawton.
Gibson is charged with murder in the second degree, two counts robbery in the first degree, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Gaines is charged with accessory to murder, assault with a deadly weapon, accessory to assault with a dangerous weapon, and three counts of possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.
Dubose is charged with accessory to murder, two counts of robbery in the first degree, assault with a deadly weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police say these charges are related to the incidents November 5th, 2015 and a shooting event that happened on January 7th.
