Black’s Failure in Robbery of White Senior Citizen Couple

A Middletown veterans club is offering $1000 reward for the apprehension of two teens who attempted to rob a couple Saturday night.

On Saturday, November 23, 2013 at approximately 7:30pm, a husband and wife, 70 and 67 years old, were walking to the AM Vets post on Ross Avenue.

Video shows them being approached from behind by two black males.

Suspect #1 grabbed the male victim from behind, forcefully trying to remove his wallet from his rear pocket. The suspects also demanded the other victim to hand over her purse, which she did not do.

During the attempted robbery, the female victim falls.

Luckily, the suspects were frightened off and did not get anything from the victims.

Suspect #1 is described as a lighter skinned black male around 5’10” to 6’00” tall, very thin, with a “baby” face.  Suspect #2 is a darker skinned black male about 6’00” tall.  Both of the suspects are possibly in their late teens.
