Daily Stormer
August 21, 2017
Except Nazi bits, of course.
It’s heartening to see that Breitbart is making a stand in defense of the Stormer’s right to freedom of speech.
Breitbart now officially has more ball than Molyneux and Infowars [to be fair though, so does David French. -AA].
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is due to Bannon’s glorious return to his throne, and his fighting mood. He’s a smart guy, and understands that if this shuttening is allowed to stand, then his enemies will have a free hand to destroy all voices on the right.
We all have to take a stand here, or cede victory to the Jews and their golem.
Recently, liberal tech companies such as GoDaddy, Google, and Cloudflare declared war on free speech, vowing to scrub the internet of “hate speech.”
Ooops.
GoDaddy decided to remove the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer from their web hosting, and Google decided to remove the white supremacist site from servers as well. Cloudflare also discontinued its service, even though they previously stated that they would defend their right to provide their services to ISIS-related websites.
Just as an aside, we were never hosted on GoDaddy or Google. It’s the domain registration that was shut-down, not the hosting.
Google removed Gab.ai, a content-neutral platform committed to free speech for everyone, from their Google Play app ecosystem for promoting “hate speech.”
These Silicon Valley companies do not see the irony in their assault on free speech, considering that these companies have repeatedly suggested that removing net neutrality would allow ISPs such as Comcast or Verizon to block and discriminate websites and services. Google, Cloudflare, and GoDaddy blocked these websites, in essence, violating the neutrality of the Internet.
This makes perfect sense. If ISPs are allowed to discriminate traffic, that puts them in the position of a cartel, which can charge arbitrary fees to companies in order to get preferential treatment. It puts all the power into the hands of the ISPs, which Google obviously doesn’t want.
But this was never a principled stance.
Instead, they want all the power in their own hands.
Google is now behaving like an abusive husband beating his wife over a misplaced salt shaker – except it’s not funny.
Net neutrality passed under former Democrat Tom Wheeler’s FCC in 2010. The rule, known as the Open Internet Order, reclassified the internet as a public monopoly. Critics chided the rule, stating that it would diminish the freedom of the internet. Proponents argue that the regulations prevent Internet service providers from discriminating against content providers; however, net neutrality advocates often ignore the peril of tech companies like Google, GoDaddy, and Cloudflare becoming the policemen of the internet.
Google has served as a strong supporter of net neutrality and argued that if FCC Chairman Ajit Pai were to remove those internet regulations, then Comcast and Verizon can censor the internet however they choose. In one of Google’s statements they argued, “If Internet access providers can block some services and cut special deals that prioritize some companies’ content over others, that would threaten the innovation that makes the Internet awesome.”
Talk about hypocrisy.
Anyone defending Google and other tech oligarchs’ actions is basically promoting a dystopian cyberpunk future in which megacorporations control everything and police everyone’s thoughts.
Imagine this, but without flying cars. Pretty gay.
It’s time to make a stand.
Or else we’re looking at a future in which your transphobic thoughts are going to be streamed directly into Google’s omni-mind servers, resulting in you being denied access to your Google Car, Google House and Google cyber-Wife.
