This is rare aerial footage from the largely under-reported annual Muslim Eid Al-Fitr prayers taken by a drone in the Brooklyn Benonhurst Park in 2015. Thousands of muslims celebrated the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal which marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting and prayer in the New York Park.
I edited in some comments by Obama, who considers new Muslim arrivals as the foundation of what America stands for. In his 2016 and 2013 Eid greetings he puts special emphasis on how Muslims are “making America safe”, more prosperous, fight for our freedom and advance civilization through LGBT and social justice activism.
