Your standard native Belgian gook

This morning a friend sent me a YouTube clip of a PSA produced by the Belgian government in the wake of the Paris attacks arguing that there were no terrorists in Belgium. Some time in the course of the last couple hours, it was removed from YouTube.

Surely, they are fully embarrassed at having created this ridiculous, condescending ad lying to people about the nature of their city, which is a full-fledged terrorist base.

I’m sure it’s been reuploaded by someone, but I can’t find it right now.

The ad was designed to combat an alleged perception by the international media that Brussels was unsafe and filled with terrorists. It featured a public phone placed somewhere in the center of the city, which people could allegedly use the internet to call and talk to residents of the city and ask them if it was safe.

It shows various persons – mostly non-Whites – answering the phone and talking to people from different countries, telling them there is no danger in the city. The last clip has a man telling someone to “get on a plane” and come see for himself.

Hopefully, he didn’t take that advice.

Here is an edited version of the video, featuring the original ad spliced with footage of the attacks.
