Here’s the dashcam:

Here’s the bodycam:

And here’s the cellphone video his wife recorded:

Okay, so, the cops are yelling “drop the gun.”

Keith Lamont Scott’s wife says it isn’t a gun, but it’s clear that he’s holding something that from ten or so feet away appears to be a gun, and he is refusing to drop whatever this object is. She isn’t in the car, but filming/screaming from a bit away – probably 20 feet. She wouldn’t know if he had a gun.

He then gets out of his car and his wife is yelling “Keith, don’t do it. Don’t do it.” He’s walking backwards, doing a piece of typical monkey posturing and he gets dropped.

The cops then run over and handcuff him and then try to do some medical whatever, while the wife just keeps saying “he better live, he better fucking live” over and over again.

Verdict: he obviously deserved it.

I mean. Come on. Cops with guns drawn on him are ordering him to do something and he won’t do it so he gets shot.

Who cares?

He did have a gun. There are pictures of the gun on the scene and it’s been fingerprinted.

For them to hoax the fingerprints would have to involve a massive conspiracy. They couldn’t have done it on camera on the scene – there are cameras everywhere. The wife was there too, filming, and she doesn’t say they threw a gun on the ground next to him for the photos and then put it in his hand for fingerprints. That is wacky and dumb.

And okay, Scott’s wife says he has a “TBI,” which is a traumatic brain injury. She yells that at the cops, as if that explains his behavior. Who knows – there could be something to that. I don’t think most people would know what a “TBI” is though, and even if that were the case, if the guy’s disobeying police orders and has a gun, then uh, what difference does it make if he’s doing it because he has a brain injury?

He also had weed.

The other thing is: there were two Whites cops there and one Black one. And it’s the Black one that dropped him. You can’t tell enough about the situation from any of the videos to know if it was actually, technically necessary, and it may well be that the Black jumped the gun.

I think the female cop in Tulsa definitely jumped the gun.

But what difference does it make?

If you’re out there acting insane and disobeying the orders of police who have guns drawn on you, how can anyone possibly feel sorry for you if you end up shot?

And what the hell does this have to do with racism?
