Remember after San Bernardino, when Donald Trump said that the family must have known about the planned attack and done nothing? Remember when he was called a racist for that, because of course the family members were all just isolated, special snowflake individuals who couldn’t possibly have been aware of what was happening?
Well, it seems that this latest case is a wee bit different.
The wife and mother of the Afghan immigrant suspected in the New York and New Jersey bombings left the US for the Middle East just a few days before the attacks, according to reports.
Ahmad Khan Rahami’s wife, Asia Bibi Rahami, has been intercepted by authorities in the United Arab Emirates after leaving the US for Pakistan, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Officials are working with authorities in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates to question her about what she knew about her husband’s plans, a law enforcement source told CNN.
Yeah, I’m sure they’re excited to help their enemies question their own people.

Rahami’s mother, Najiba Rahami, left for Turkey three weeks before the attacks and has not yet returned to the US, a US official to ABC News.
Rahami, a naturalized US citizen, made at least three months-long trips to Pakistan and Afghanistan since 2014, officials said.
He stayed in Pakistan for a year between April 2013 and March 2014, spending time in a Taliban stronghold, CNN reported.
Rahami has clammed up and is refusing to cooperate with authorities, a source told The Post.
And Donald Trump is called a monster for wanting to kill the families of terrorists.
What is the reason why the government shouldn’t kill this man’s family?
Because it would be sad?
“We are looking into who may have helped him in training, with money” and with other means, the source said. “His family is being looked at, too.”
FBI Assistant Director William Sweeney said there was “no indication” of an active terror cell in the New York area — but evidence suggests Rahami was not acting alone, sources told CNN.
So it isn’t a “terror cell” so much as it’s a “group of terrorists.”
Got it.
The terrorist’s Papa, no doubt realizing that he will be ordered killed when Trump is elected, has come out saying he called the FBI himself to tell them his son was a terrorist two years ago.
The FBI itself has confirmed this, though I still think that Trump should have him executed for what his son did. Along with his mother, wife, and any children he may have, I think extended family members should also be targeted by Trump’s death squads.
The FBI said Tuesday that more than two years before the bombings in New York and New Jersey over the weekend, agents had investigated the man accused of planting and setting off explosives.
This probe into Ahmad Khan Rahami, the 28-year-old named as the only suspect in the bombings, was launched based on comments his father had made. An official said his father later recanted his comments. Agents conducted interviews, checked with other agencies and looked at internal databases, “none of which revealed ties to terrorism,” the bureau said in a statement.
They found no ties in 2014.
But he spent a year in Pakistan in a “Taliban strong hold” between 2013 and 2014.

How could anyone ever imagine that a guy looking like that was “not a terrorist”?
If these people are this incompetent, then that is as good a reason as any to keep Moslems out of the country completely.
Rahami’s father spoke briefly to a scrum of reporters, offering relatively few details before climbing into an SUV and leaving. He also told reporters that his son was violent toward other family members “for no reason.”
Federal law enforcement officials confirmed that they did look into the father’s comments and opened what is known as an assessment, a relatively low-scale probe. But officials also said that Rahami’s father did not directly contact the FBI on his own, as he said; rather, agents learned he was making statements about his son.
Which they had to have learned from informants, meaning the informants were close enough to the family to hear pretty sensitive information.
And yet: nothing done.
Please note that the FBI, like every other government organization, is diverse as all hell.
When the FBI was alerted that Rahami was making comments that raised concerns about terrorism, they looked for any hints of terrorism “and we found nothing,” said an official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing probe. It did not immediately appear that the effort was as intensive as the FBI’s investigation of Omar Mateen, the Orlando gunman who opened fire inside a nightclub there earlier this year.
Yeah, he was also Afghani. And they also concluded: goody boy, didn’t do nothing.
They also didn’t bother to kill his family after the attack, and his father is a supporter of Hillary Clinton.
Why are these people in our country?
