China Tariffs About to Go Live – Chinks Retaliating by Throwing Space Station at Us

I hope you weren’t planning on not having a space station crash on you in the next few weeks. If so, consider your plans changed.

Okay, so we’ve got some good news, and some bad news.

The good news is that Trump is following up his promise to set trade tariffs on China, and they should be implemented within the week.

This is a major white-pill; he’s been promising this policy since forever, and it’s going to have extraordinary effects on the American economy.

Yahoo Finance:

The Trump administration plans to impose tariffs worth as much as $60 billion on Chinese products as early as this week to punish Beijing for what the U.S. perceives as intellectual property theft from American businesses, according to two people familiar with the matter.

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer is leading an investigation into China’s treatment of intellectual property, and policies that the U.S. believes force American companies to turn over their technological know-how as the price of doing business there. The administration is said to be considering wide-ranging tariffs on everything from consumer electronics to shoes and clothing made in China, as well as restrictions on Chinese investments in the U.S., according to people briefed on the matter.

These chinks are stealing our advanced shoe technology, and it’s destroying our economy. It’s time we stood up for our shoes, and put an end to China’s shoe-tech theft.

We must act before it’s too late, and the Chinese finally steal our New Balance shoe designs – the crown jewel of American engineering.

The U.S. Trade Representative’s office didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.

The Washington Post reported earlier Monday that the administration planned to impose $60 billion worth of tariffs by Friday, after the president rejected a proposal by his officials to levy $30 billion in duties.

Yeah, the Chinese never gave a rat’s ass about “intellectual property,” especially that of foreign interests. So they’re just stealing our crap and reproducing it at a lower cost, and then just selling it back to us, destroying our innovative businesses.

This needs to be stopped, and this tariff is a great start.

The bad news is that the Chinese are flipping out, and decided to just throw a space station at us in retaliation.

Live Science:

A Chinese space station is going to fall uncontrolled out of space, and now, trackers know when. Kind of.

Satellite trackers have speculated since at least 2016 about the probability of China’s Tiangong-1 space lab slamming into Earth’s atmosphere. The lab was China’s first prototype space habitat, the site of the country’s first orbital docking and long-term space stays. But, launched in 2011, it’s long since reached the end of its operational life, and China appears to have no plans to boost it into a higher orbit.

More recently, Tiangong’s fiery re-entry has looked a lot more imminent. But predicting when exactly the 8-ton (7.3 metric tons) vehicle would fall to Earth is a difficult challenge: As recently as March 2, the European Space Agency (ESA) couldn’t get any more specific about the re-entry date than sometime between March 24 and April 19. But now trackers are getting a lot more specific: The lab should fall to Earth within a few days of the end of March.

So, the timing for this crash is just a few days after the tariffs come into effect…

Coincidence?

Hmmmm…

The space station is moving too fast and is too uncontrolled for trackers to peg where it will enter the atmosphere any more specifically than somewhere between 43 degrees north latitude and 43 degrees south latitude. That’s an area that includes Boston and Beijing, but also Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Brisbane, Australia. (Not to mention a whole lot of ocean.) Most of the populated world falls within the possible re-entry zone.

So it could fall anywhere…

Including the United States!

Have you ever had a space station crash on you? Lemme tell you, it really ruins your day.

No, but seriously, who the hell just lets their space station just fall back on earth, crashing at some random point?

I’m only kidding about the crash being a response to the tariffs – the station was going to crash at some point, and the Chinese just don’t give a damn and don’t seem to be making any effort at controlling when, how or where its going to happen.

That’s representative of the Chinese attitude to everything: reckless, irresponsible and uncaring. That’s also why it’s impossible to do “free trade” with these people without suffering for it; the only way to compete with the Chinese is to adopt their insane “free-for-all” approach to things, which would result in our countries turning into shitholes.

Thank God for these tariffs.
