Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for ol’ Mama Merkel, it does.
The fugitive suspected of driving a truck into a crowded Berlin Christmas market on Monday was on the radar of German authorities as far back as June, when they tried – and failed – to deport him after learning he was plotting a “serious act of violent subversion,” a German official told The Washington Post.
Further, security agencies exchanged info as recently as November that allegedly tied Anis Amri to Islamist militants, yet the Tunisian-born 24-year-old was able to evade terror investigators in the lead-up to Monday’s ISIS-claimed massacre, which killed 12 and wounded 48.
Berlin prosecutors told The Associated Press in a statement Wednesday that they first launched an investigation against Amri on March 14 followed a tip from federal security agencies.
The tip warned that Amri might be planning a break-in to finance the purchase of automatic weapons for use in an attack.
Surveillance showed that Amri was involved in drug dealing in a Berlin park and involved in a bar brawl, but there was no evidence to substantiate the original warning and the observation was called off in September.
German police said Amri’s wallet and identification papers were found in the cab of the truck used in the terror attack, however, authorities didn’t name Amri as a suspect until Wednesday morning and first arrested two other men — who were subsequently released due to a lack of evidence.
This “wallet in the truck” thing is total nonsense.
Assuming the guy did just drop his wallet, why then did they arrest that Paki and fly him to a secret location to interrogate him? If they had the wallet?
It appears that the wallet in the truck story has been devised to cover the fact that they were already tracking this guy. And then someone blew the whistle to the press.
There is also a chance that this isn’t even the guy who did it, it is just a random guy they know is a terrorist, and they needed to point to someone so they don’t look so stupid and inept. Although by hunting him and not finding them they look inept, they have to have some direction while this whole story is fresh in people’s minds.
He was also on the US no-fly list.
The Berlin terror suspect who repeatedly slipped through the fingers of German authorities was reportedly on the U.S. no-fly list months before Monday’s deadly attack.
German officials on Thursday continued to hunt Anis Amri, who is considered armed and dangerous. A fingerprint in the cab of the truck used in Monday’s attack was found on Thursday to belong to Amri.
Amri piqued the interest of U.S. officials after it was discovered he had researched the construction of explosive devices and communicated with ISIS leaders on at least one occasion via the group’s Telegram Messenger, officials told The New York Times.
But while the U.S quickly moved to keep Amri out of the country, Germany couldn’t get him to leave.
So yeah, he’d be a perfect person to blame it on if they in fact had no idea who did it.
They’ve released no footage from the event. Obviously, the guy had to get out of the truck and go run off somewhere, so there has to be cellphone footage of that happening. Germany of course told people it was illegal to upload footage of the scene to the internet, and they were only allowed to send it in to the police.
Just to add to the weirdness of this whole situation – the guy who was initially arrested as a suspect has now himself disappeared.
The Pakistani refugee wrongly accused of committing the Berlin Christmas terror attack is missing and friends fear for his safety, MailOnline has learned.
Naveed Baluch, 23, was arrested just over a mile from the massacre that left 12 dead but was released yesterday after police admitted they had the wrong man.
Now his cousin Waheed, who says he was with Naveed when he was arrested, has told MailOnline that he is ‘very worried’ because the ‘illiterate’ refugee is ‘mentally unfit’ and has not been heard from since his release.
He said: ‘[Naveed] is missing, his phone is off. I am very worried. We have no link with religious fundamentalists or terrorists. He condemns terrorism.’
Naveed’s roommate at the Tempelhof migrant centre also said that Baluch has not returned home.
I don’t know what that implies, if anything.
All of this is bizarre.
One thing is certain: Mama Merkel needs to resign.
There need to be large marches demanding it.
Why is that not happening, Germany?
Also, Speaking of Germany
I am pissed off at Mama Merkel, the German cops, German women, etc.
Like, really pissed off.
I would like to start a German version of the Daily Stormer. I will first start with translations of our articles, as that is the easiest thing, and then in the future, try to get some original writings in German. Germany doesn’t have hardly any decent alternative media, and given that I’m an American, I can host this and provide an assistance to the Germans in their hour of greatest need.
So, I’d like to get this rolling in first quarter of next year. If you’d like to help out, let me know.
