Sieg Heil!
— Jeff Lord (@realJeffreyLord) August 10, 2017
This is disgusting.
CNN has fired a pro-Trump commentator for an innocent Nazi salute on Twitter.
No free speech.
CNN is reporting that it has severed ties with commentator Jeffery Lord on Thursday after he tweeted “Sieg Heil!” at a liberal activist on Twitter.
Lord, a columnist for conservative magazine The American Spectator, tweeted the Nazi victory salute at Angelo Carusone, president of the liberal group Media Matters for America.
“Nazi salutes are indefensible,” a CNN spokesperson said, according to the network. “Jeffrey Lord is no longer with the network.”
Nazi salutes are indefensible, but it’s fine to have a bunch of Jews running around everywhere.
What? How are Jews defensible and Nazis not?
What kind of backwardass value system is that?
This is like a group of child-molesters criticizing you for being punctual.
The controversial tweet by Lord gained attention after several publications reported it and Carusone took a screenshot and tweeted it at CNN, asking for the network to comment on “on air talent issuing (in serious and non-ironic way) Nazi victory salutes.”
In the opinion piece that eventually led to his ouster from CNN, Lord took issue with a Media Matters campaign to get Fox’s Sean Hannity fired from his network.
Media Matters urged its supporter to pressure advdertisers on Hannity’s program to withdraw their support. Lord argued in his piece that this was a “fascist game” and an effort to end Hannity’s “free speech.”
Ugh.
It was “liberals are the real communists” humor.
God, I’m so sick of that.
Please just tell me this: have you ever heard a liberal say “conservatives are the real Bolsheviks”?
If you haven’t heard that, then even if you believe the six million and blah blah blah, then you need to ask yourself what the hell is going on with right-wing people using the meme that leftists are actually a caricature of an evil historical far-right political movement.
It’s just retarded.
As far as Lord’s piece – here it is – the context is that Media Matters is trying to get Sean Hannity fired for talking about the Seth Rich murder. There is a theory that Rich, a DNC employee who was murdered the day before Julian Assange released the DNC leaks, was the leaker and was killed for it, which would mean that “Russian hackers” had nothing to do with Wikileaks, which would mean that the entire basis of the Trump witch hunt is entirely false.
And yes, Lord is right that Media Matters is a group with the singular purpose of silencing free speech – just like the ADL and the SPLC, it is a Jewish group who harasses people that disagree with the mainstream narrative and tries to have them silenced.
It is telling that the Seth Rich issue is something they believe should be silenced. They are claiming that it is a “conspiracy theory,” but I mean, Julian Assange himself has signaled that he may have gotten the documents from Seth Rich, and the private investigator who was hired to look into the matter initially said Rich was in contact with Wikileaks before changing his story. Seymour Hersh has even came out and said he was the leaker.
So basically, Media Matters making a point of it is just more proof that it’s probably true.
Also, yes: CNN firing Lord for making a joke – however stupid it is, it was a joke – about how free speech is being suppressed by the media is absurd. It is especially absurd that they are apparently playing this like they thought he was actually saluting Hitler. Who would believe that they believe that?
