CNN Put “¯\_(ツ)_/¯” in a Headline

I’m obviously not against goofy news media.

I myself do a lot of goofy news media. I think it’s fun and it can be educational. It can reach a specific audience that perhaps wouldn’t be reached by more traditional news reporting.

But here’s the thing.

If you’re doing goofy media, then you can no longer claim to be some kind of “above it all” beacon of objectivity that arbitrates reality.

You cannot be pretentious and above it all when you’ve got “¯\_(ツ)_/¯” in your headlines.

And you cannot pretend to be that pretentious arbitrator of reality when you are going full on with insane theories like this one.

Point being: CNN is no different than Infowars.com.

Infowars is probably more accurate.

But they are both just extremely biased, cartoonish media that relies on bizarre conspiracy theories.

The Daily Stormer might do cartoonish media, but at least we skip the theories and rely on the pure facts.
