California won’t be a part of the United States for much longer at the rate things are going. Other shitlib cities too. Secession movements are coming to America.
This is just the beginning.
A decision to affix an American flag graphic to the side of freshly painted Laguna Beach police cars is dividing residents, who are alternately praising the image as patriotic or panning it as too aggressive.
After hearing the criticism and acknowledging that the image they approved didn’t quite match the final results, officials agreed to reconsider their February decision to paint the Laguna Beach Police Department’s fleet of 11 squad cars. The City Council will take up the issue again at its Tuesday meeting.
“People are screaming that the American flag on a police car is somehow or another … hurting people’s feelings who might be immigrants or visitors,” said Councilman Peter Blake. “People are actually ridiculous enough to bring up comments about our cop cars having American flags on them.”
The American Flag phenomenon is worth discussing in detail just this once.
Most fashionable shitlibs live in cities and they have developed this astroturfed fake regional identity centered around the city. Usually, it’s not even their hometown – it’s just the one they end up living in after finishing college or after their first job.
They really go all out with this.
They’ll dig deep to try and find some “authentic” local traditions and go out of their way to “show their pride” for their city by getting into the sports teams, eating the local dishes (or making them up wholesale if they don’t exist) and frequenting the local markets that sell the same trinket crap that you find in any market, but whatever…
Most importantly though, these people stop flying American flags.
Instead, they start flying their regional or city flag. This has been a big Yuppie/wonk/Hipster trend in recent years, especially as gentrification has gone into full swing. It is tied in with urban renewal. As they make lofts out of abandoned industrial buildings, they also renew the identity of the city and with it, the flags of the city.
(And if the city has a shitty and unaesthetic flag, they’ll just settle for the rainbow flag instead.)
But yeah, adopting a city identity and rejecting the greater American identity is one of the biggest trends in American society that no one talks about. The rejection of the American flag by shitlib Whites is part and parcel of this trend.
To be more specific, shitlibs reject the American flag for two reasons.
First and foremost, they started rejecting it because fly-over BadWhites let it all hang out in the gentle summer breeze on their porches, trucks, and clothing out in the sticks.
Naturally, Soymericans don’t want to be associated with Literal Nazi White Supremacists who own guns, believe in Jesus and vote Republican – so they counter-signal these people.
Secondly, they reject the American Flag because it’s too democratic.
This is a class warfare thing. Here, think about it this way:
Q: Who is likelier to take more pride in being an American?
a) A Janitor
b) A Doctor
It’s simple, really. Clearly, the doctor is more likely to take pride in his profession rather than settle for being part of a less exclusive group.
And have you noticed how libshits will chide Amerikaners for taking pride in something “you have no control over?” They will mock these people for taking pride in their race, their religion, and their country because these are all things that these people “didn’t earn” and so, therefore, it’s a sign of low social status that they hold these things dear.
A doctor has the luxury of basing his identity on his profession because he occupies a higher-status position in society. But a janitor does not. A doctor (or any higher-status profession) gets to lord it over others, but an American has to share the same status as a lowly janitor who can also partake and share in that identity. They’d be on the same playing field, see?
Can’t have that now, can we?
The city thing is just like the profession thing, really.
There are thousands of little no-name towns. There’s only one Boston, Massachusetts. And it’s a marker of higher-status to have “made it” in one of the big cities. As a shitlib, you now have the luxury of identifying with a regional, city identity because the city has so much cultural capital for you to draw on. You don’t have to identify with the more democratic evil, racist Amerikkka identity that even a hillbilly can partake in because Chicago has a rich culture of Jazz, craft microbrews, and AIDS tolerance that you can identify with instead.
I’ve even started to notice that there are now usually only two flags that are waved at any shitlib rally: the rainbow flag and the local city flag.
You won’t see the American flag anymore.
The American flag has become the flag of the working class White Supremacists who don’t live within walking distance of a Whole Foods or a craft brewery. Having an American flag in a shitlib locale like California is not only an affront to the Mexicans, but to the White shitlibs there as well.
Seems to me that the Left is drifting in the direction of secessionism, which is an interesting development.
Most importantly: these people clearly no longer identify as Americans.
They are simply gay Chicagoans or gay Bostonites or gay San Francisco… people. But not Americans, no. They should hand in their passports and then straight-up leave, taking their shitty cities with them – away from rural America.
They’ve already proposed this for Chicago.
And who would even stop them at this point?
