Never keep anything of value in your vehicle when you’re not in it.
The most expensive thing inside of the car should be the total value of loose change in the seats or whatever.
On Thursday, the Somerset Police Department released a surveillance photo of a suspect, who is shown in the picture to be a medium-complexioned man, possibly light-skinned black or Hispanic, who wore a black Chicago Bulls hat, a do-rag, a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The suspect is alleged to have stolen a vehicle, as well as several debit and credit cards from cars he broke into, and then using those cards in various locations over a 24-hour span, according to the Somerset Police Department.
The car-breaks happened from the night of May 17 to early the next morning. Somerset police detectives reportedly obtained photos and video from several locations, and said they saw the same suspect arriving and leaving those locations in the stolen car. Somerset Police later recovered the stolen vehicle.
