There is a lesson here: don’t devote your life to petty personal animosity.
I know some people who would know that said that Hotwheels had some genuine complaints about Jim “Gentleman Jim” Watkins. But he went overboard and out of control, and it has led to his doom.
He kept on hitting Jim, and he didn’t care about the effect that this was having on the entire community of 8chan. He destroyed his own reputation – everyone used to like him – by going so far as to endorse the deranged leftist claim that free speech leads to terrorism.
Now, he has a warrant out for his arrest in his country of residence.
Fredrick Brennan, who founded but later distanced himself from the 8chan message board that has given encouragement and visibility to violent extremists, is facing arrest in the Philippines in a “cyberlibel” case brought by the site’s current owner.
An arrest warrant was issued Thursday in Pasig City, his lawyer, Alex Acain, told Rappler, a news site in the Philippines. Mr. Brennan is currently in the United States, and it was unclear on Thursday if he planned to return to the Philippines, where he lives.
The case stems from Twitter posts Mr. Brennan, who gave up control of 8chan in 2015, directed at Jim Watkins, who took over the site and also lives in the Philippines. Mr. Watkins, whose message board contains unapologetically racist material that has frequently cheered deadly violence, sued Mr. Brennan after tweets that referred to Mr. Watkins as “senile” and called the site’s moderators “incompetent.”
In the Philippines, cyberlibel is a criminal offense that can be punished with prison time.

Mr. Brennan originally created 8chan to host any legally permissible speech, no matter how toxic, but has since said the site should be shut down.
“I’ve tried to understand so many times why he keeps it going, and I just don’t get it,” Mr. Brennan told The New York Times after the El Paso shooting in August. “After Christchurch, after the Tree of Life shooting, and now after this shooting, they think this is all really funny.”

Mr. Watkins filed the libel complaint against Mr. Brennan in October.
“The exercise of the right of free expression and free speech like any other right enshrined in our Constitution comes with an equal burden of responsible exercise of that right. After all, the recognition of a right is not a free license for the one claiming it to run roughshod over the rights of others,” Mr. Watkins said in the complaint, according to Rappler.
Referring to the Philippines Constitution as “our Constitution” is an alpha-chad move.
Gentleman Jim is based.
Mr. Brennan, who uses a wheelchair, has a condition known as brittle-bone disease. He told CNN Philippines in November that he thought the lawsuit was an attempt to intimidate him.
“I have a serious disability and there’s no doubt at all that I would certainly die in prison here,” he said.

Anyway, let me tell you: Jim is not suing him for the “cyberlibel.” That is just what he could get him on. Jim is suing him for waging a never-ending campaign to destroy 8chan.
Hotwheels would definitely die in a Filipino prison, but he wouldn’t actually go to prison. The only reason there is a warrant out for his arrest is that he refused to appear in court to respond to the charges.
Now he’s in the US, and he’s probably not going to go back to the Philippines because he’s a scared little bitch who just likes to attack people who can’t defend themselves, like all of the posters on 8chan he screwed over.
If Jim did somehow swindle Hotwheels out of the site – so what? Why didn’t he start a new one? He has 50+ bitcoin. Why is it hard to just create a new site with the same format if he wants to run such a site? All it is is a format, you can just throw it up, and a lot of people would have migrated simply because people used to actually like this vile little cripple.
I personally used to really like Hotwheels as a person. He published an article here way back when. I was shocked when he turned evil. It took me weeks to come to grips with it, because I’m a very loyal and trusting person by nature. Whenever I’m betrayed, I feel confused.
I was always bothered by the fact that there was porn on 8chan. Now that he’s supposedly a Christian, he could have started a new chan with a strict “no porn” rule, and that would have been a great way to get people to move over. If Jim stole the site – which is not something I know for a fact at all – he VERY EASILY could have made a new one that was more popular.
Instead he goes full on war, to the point where he’s denouncing his own beliefs in order to try to destroy Jim. And in the process, helps destroy one of the last places on the internet with freedom of speech.
I don’t believe QAnon, but it is certainly free speech, and 8chan was the only place it was allowed to be posted. Imagine taking that outlet away from all of those boomers, simply because you are filled with irrational hatred.
And I have personally suffered! We all have! 8chan was a fundamental part of internet culture!
There are also IRC logs floating around out there that show Hotwheels admitting to paying for a botnet to DDoS 8chan. I don’t know if they’re real or not, but they sure seem real. And if that could ever be proved, that is a major criminal charge in the US. If I was the kind of scum that uses botnets on people I don’t like, I sure as hell wouldn’t want to live in America. That’s the kind of thing that gets dug up at random and takes you down.
In the Philippines, they wouldn’t even know what a botnet was and at least wouldn’t charge you criminally for it.
So he can pick his path.
I would certainly prefer he was in prison, where he wouldn’t be able to do so much harm. The crawling little rat recently decided to attack BitChute – for no reason, other than that he’s trying to get good boy points with like, Brianna Wu. He could have been a legend and proof that cripples can have value, instead he’s the opposite.
I will also say that I hope when he goes to prison, they take away his chair and make him crawl around on the ground and eat bugs.
