Stormy Daniels, the porn star at the center of a political storm involving President Trump, has been arrested, her lawyer says.
Michael Avenatti, who’s become a frequent guest on cable TV networks since becoming Daniels’ attorney, tweeted about the arrest early Thursday:
Just rcvd word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. #Basta

She was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her while on stage in a non sexual manner! Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities!!! #SetUp #Basta

We expect her to be released on bail shortly. We also expect that she will be charged with a misdemeanor for allowing “touching.” We will vehemently contest all charges. #Basta

Columbus police tell CBS News they’re not aware of Daniels being arrested, and as of early Thursday, Daniels wasn’t being held by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. The club, called Sirens, would only say “no comment” when reached by CBS News.
An Ohio law known as the Community Defense Act bars any non-family members form touching a nude or semi-nude dancer, according to The Associated Press.
Avenatti told the AP the arrest was “a set up.”
She probably lied to the feds.
If this was some stripper issue, Columbus police would have been the ones that arrested her, right?
If she did do some criminal stripper shit, calling that a setup – like Donald Trump called the local police and told them to arrest her on stripping violation charges – makes this race car lawyer look even more absurd than he already did, which I did not think was possible.
