Family is the basis of civilization.
As we discussed yesterday, the best time to attack is when the opponent is down.
And Hillary is really, really down right now.
Trump seems to be making an aggressive move on some of Hillary’s staunchest supporters: young white women.
Republican nominee Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump plan to roll out a detailed childcare policy plan outside Philadelphia on Tuesday.
“This does underscore a major contrast between our campaign and Hillary Clinton’s—you heard Mr. Trump talk about it last night at his rally in North Carolina: Mrs. Clinton doesn’t have a single original idea or a fresh concept about anything,” a senior Trump aide tells reporters. “Nobody knows why she’s running except that she feels like she’s entitled to be president and beyond that I guess she owes a lot of people a lot of favors. But in terms of helping the American people, you couldn’t name one reason.”
Hillary Clinton, how do you respond? Oh, I forgot – she’s still sleeping. Too bad.
I love how vicious the Trump is getting while Hillary is out of commission. But it gets better.
Trump, on the other hand, has laid out a series of detailed policy platforms he says are designed to help all Americans. In recent weeks, the GOP nominee for president has presented ideas on foreign policy, trade policy, immigration policy, education policy, tax policy and military policy. In suburban Philadelphia, Trump will roll out a policy plan designed to help middle and working class mothers better afford childcare.
The rest of the article lays out the details of this plan, which involves substantial tax breaks, paid leaves from the mother’s work and subsidies to educational savings accounts.
Families would be… swimming in money.
This would be a small but important step in getting White families to have more children. And since it only applies to people who work and pay taxes, it won’t affect the growth of the non-Whites.
But beyond the value of the policies themselves, this is going to be easy to sell to women as a kind of “handout,” allowing them to spend more time with their family (and off from work). In this sense, it’s gibs for women, that are actually good for society.
This is win/win/win.
