Daily Stormer Logo Contest!

So, we made it on CNN.

They showed our banner. A lot of other major news outlets have been showing the banner too recently. And it’s got me to thinking that we need a distinct brand logo for the site.

Something which is definitively recognizable, wherever it appears.

Ideas

The one we have now is maybe a bit too silly. The font, as far as the “D” and “S” goes are a bit much, as is the sideways eagle. I put it up for fun a while ago (because it is definitely fun, and I was a bit bored with the old one), and meant to do this contest and never got around to it.

But something like the current logo might be good.

The only criteria I have is that it contains the all of the letters of “Daily Stormer.”

I am not myself a graphic designer, but I am open to any ideas. Just make sure there are no copyright issues. Attaching an eagle to the lettering itself may make sense, maybe a Celtic cross. I’m not sure.

Anyone who has an idea should throw it out there, and we should collective critique it.

Last time we did a banner contest, the submissions were fantastic, and I’m sure they’ll be fantastic again.

The best part is, since we are now using disqus, which has an attach image feature, we can all take part in this process together very easily. Logo concepts can be submitted in the comments section, and people can comment on them, they can upvote and downvote them. Input can be given by the community, and changes can be made, new versions submitted and so on.

If you read the site, and are an artist, but don’t use disqus for whatever reason, send me an email (andrewanglin84@gmail.com) with “LOGO SUBMISSION” as the heading (srsly put it in ALL CAPS) and the image attached. I will then post it in the comments section as a submission for the community to comment on.

Those who are not artists can also submit ideas, which may inspire those who are artists.

Thinking Big and Looking Toward the Future

An idea I’ve had is having multiple banners which appear when you refresh the page. Like on a chan site. After we have a distinct brand logo, we can then apply it to any banner, put it on t-shirts and so on and on.

Once we get a brand logo together, we will then do a banner contest. Maybe we will end up with a static banner, or maybe we will use multiples. I haven’t decided. But whatever the case, there will be a distinct logo across all of them.
