Hampton Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide that took place in 1981.
65-year-old Ruben Edward Moore was arrested and charged with one count of homicide. Moore allegedly killed 32-year-old Olivia Christian on Sept. 4, 1981.
Public Safety Communications received a call that day about a deceased female in the 200 block of Ivy Home Road. Officers arrived to find Christian dead inside the home.
Moore was indicted by the Peninsula Multijurisdictional Grand Jury based on evidence presented by Attorney General Herring’s Major Crimes and Emerging Threats Unit. Attorney General Mark Herring’s office will prosecute the case under the authority of the Hampton Commonwealth’s Attorney.
