David Cameron: Trump Helps ISIS by Hurting Feelings of Moslems

The two biggest stories of 2015 were Moslem terrorism and Moslem mass-immigration. It was extremely difficult to reconcile the two, but governments and media managed.

One of the biggest memes they came up with was that if you are against Moslem immigration you are actually helping Moslem terrorists, because if a “moderate Moslem” is not allowed into your country, he will then have hurt feelings, and join a terrorist organization to try and destroy you.

As ridiculous as that sounds, it has been pushed constantly, especially since the Paris attacks.

David Cameron just came out and used this meme against Donald Trump.

The Telegraph:

Donald Trump is helping extremists by creating the idea of a “clash of civilisations between Islam and the West,” David Cameron has said.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mr Cameron, in an unusual intervention in domestic US politics, said the Republican presidential candidate was “making a fundamental mistake” of trying to blame all Muslims for the ideology and actions of a few.

“I think that’s wrong,” he told the youth-focused American news website, Mic.

“In many ways, it actually helps the extremists, because they want to create a clash of civilisations between Islam and Christianity, or Islam and the West.”

Muslims in the US told The Telegraph on Monday how Mr Trump’s words have made them feel threatened in their own cities.

“What’s happening is not a clash of civilisations,” said Mr Cameron.

Maybe tell that to the 126 victims of gang-rape in Germany on New Year’s Eve, Dave.

This is no longer simply about blowing people up or shooting them on the streets. There are other elements at play making it clear that this is indeed a “clash of civilizations” – a term which is really just a snobby euphemism for “race war.”

It is a fight within Islam, where the overwhelming majority rightly see Islam as a religion of peace, and want to live in successful multiracial, multi-ethnic, multifaith democracies like ours, and make an incredible contribution to our country – as opposed to a small minority that believe this rhetoric of poisonous extremism.

Incredible contributions:

Definitely “incredible,” but there is no indication that any of this “contributions” are “positive” or “good.”

“So, what Donald Trump says is, in my view, not only wrong, but actually it makes the work we need to do to confront and defeat the extremists more difficult.”

Mr Trump has also faced criticism from within the Republican party.

Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor, said that his words made defeating the Islamic State harder, because they alienated people within the community which was most influential in ending extremism.

Yes.

Jeb Bush is basically the American David Cameron.

What this “helping ISIS by hurting feelings” meme assumes is that these people are all a bunch of whacked-out psychos who will join a terrorist group as soon as someone hurts their feelings.

If I tried to enter Canada and they rejected me, then I went on a beheading rampage, would David Cameron come out and say it was the fault of the Canadian government?

ISIS is a group which desires a global Islamic state. So allowing Moslems into your country necessarily serves their goals.
