Okay, so as you may or may not know, there are still problems with the site.
We have been getting database issues, sometimes things are slow, etc. I don’t know when any of that will be fixed, but there is another issue, which is more important – people are seeing a cached version of the site. I am getting emails, after full site updates yesterday, that people are still seeing an image of the site from the 15th.
Obviously, if you are having that problem right now, you won’t be seeing this post, which is a major issue. Unless, of course, you are having that problem on one of your devices and not on others, or you had that problem and then fixed it. However, if this is an actual serious problem, clearing your cache will only work temporarily, then you will have to clear it again. I don’t know if that is the type of problem it is.
Also, there are comments issues, with comments getting lost or held for moderation. The easiest solution to that is to just start whining that I’m censoring your super-important thoughts and send me tear-soaked emails about what a rat I am for daring to shut you down.
Also, expect the article flow to continue to be slightly slower than normal. It is a full time job trying to figure out a bunch of technical stuff.
I apologize for the unprofessionalness of making these technical issues a feature on the site, but hey, that becomes necessary when you’re broke.
So, report on caching, report on anything else you’re seeing, then I will proceed to try and fail to fix it, then we’ll do the whole thing over again.
But right now, it’s break time.
