There are always going to be some bad apples in a bushel full of Black murderers.

Our Quad Cities:

Police say DNA evidence led to a murder charge against a Davenport man.

On July 15 Claude Hanson, 62, was stabbed in his home in the 3800 block of Bridge Avenue. He died seven days later.

During the investigation officers recovered DNA samples at the scene that led to the identification of Robert Carter, 54.

Officers say Carter broke into Hanson’s home and waited for him to return. When he did, police say Carter stabbed him and stole his wallet.
