This is one of the best ideas I’ve heard in weeks.
Why not put @JulianAssange in charge of it? He's trusted by the public and has the CIA's best stuff anyway https://t.co/K7wFTdlC82

It’s a match made in heaven.
Give me one good reason why this should not be so.
RT:
The whistleblowing website Wikileaks has suggested that Donald Trump appoint Julian Assange as the chief of the joint cyber security unit as discussed with President Vladimir Putin. Trump, however, clarified that discussions do not mean any plans for such unit are in the works.
On Sunday, Trump announced on Twitter that among other pressing issues he and his Russian counterpart had “discussed” was creating “an impenetrable Cyber Security unit.”
WikiLeaks was quick to respond and nominated Assange, the whistleblowing platform’s founder, to run the unit.
“Why not put @JulianAssange in charge of it? He’s trusted by the public and has the CIA’s best stuff anyway,” Wikileaks said in a sarcastic tweet, linking the message to the Vault 7 series of documents which revealed the CIA’s espionage programs.
Was it sarcastic?
I’m not detecting sarcasm here.
On Saturday, Putin said that during his first encounter with Trump, they shared their views on cybersecurity and had agreed to “create a working group on how to jointly monitor security in cyberspace.”
Trump’s interpretation of the issue was much more bold and drew more heat for his alleged collusion with the Kremlin. So later Sunday, the US president had to clarify his statement on the cyber unit.
“The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn’t mean I think it can happen,” Trump said while praising the success of the ceasefire deal in southwest Syria brokered with Russia.
The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn't mean I think it can happen. It can't-but a ceasefire can,& did!

It can happen, though.
You just put Assange in charge of it.
Everyone in the world trusts Assange as an impartial party.
And he’s already volunteered for the job.
This is really a no-brainer.
The Daily Stormer officially endorses putting Julian Assange in charge of global cybersecurity.
Like, right now.
Trump just grants him a pardon, demands he be flown by helicopter to the White House to work out the details and he starts work by Thursday.
Let’s get this done.
