The United States and the European Union have a $1 TRILLION bilateral trade relationship – the largest economic relationship in the world. We want to further strengthen this trade relationship to the benefit of all American and European citizens… pic.twitter.com/4zlmEEtCpG

Trump had a meeting with the EU commissioner, the drunken lunatic Jean-Claude Juncker, who believes in reptoid aliens controlling human events.
The EU has apparently cucked out on all fronts, and is now begging Trump not to bury them.
Regrettably, Trump is listening to their whining.
I would have preferred he just nuke Berlin.
President Donald Trump announced an agreement with the European Union on tariffs – an effort to dial back what had been an escalating trade feud.
“We agreed today, first of all, to work together toward zero tariffs, zero nontariff barriers and zero subsidies on non-auto industrial goods,” Trump said during his remarks in the Rose Garden as he stood next European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. “We will also work to reduce barriers and increase trade and services, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical products as well as soybeans. Soybeans is a big deal. And the European Union is going to start almost immediately to buy a lot of soybeans.”
Trump also indicated that the U.S. will enable the European Union to import more liquefied natural gas from the United States and the creation of a dialogue on standards meant to reduce barriers to trade. As part of the agreement, the U.S. will move to end some of the retaliatory tariffs relating to steel and aluminum.
“We also will resolve the steel and aluminum tariff issues and we will resolve retaliatory tariffs. We have some tariffs that are retaliatory and that will get resolved as part of what we are doing,” Trump said.
…
Juncker echoed Trump’s description of their meeting and said that the EU would hold off on further tariffs as they work with America.
“We also agreed to work together on the reform of the WTO. This, of course, is on the understanding that as long as we are negotiating, unless one party would stop the negotiations, we hold off further tariffs and reassess existing tariffs on steel and aluminum. This was a good, constructive meeting,” Juncker said.
Talk about groveling like an abused dog.
This guy had to have been double-black-out drunk to stand this level of public humiliation. Or maybe the reptoids installed a chip in his brain making him incapable of feeling shame.
What people don’t understand because the filthy lying kike media never says it is that the EU (along with Canada and China) already had tariffs on American goods, while we had none on them. All Trump’s tariffs are actually doing is meeting the ones that all these countries already have on us.
So after the “how absolutely dare you, sir!” bit didn’t work, the EU is coming crawling to the GOD EMPEROR OF MANKIND and saying “okay well then let’s just do even stevens.”
I think this was the goal all along, although I was hoping he’d go further and literally bury the shithole EU.
Anyway, he may well go further.
This was just one meeting.
I think even if he does decide to go ahead and do even stevens, he’s going to require a lot more groveling.
The Thing Is
Real free trade – which is better called “fair trade,” since “free trade” has become a term synonymous with “fuck over the US” – is possible with most of the EU, as they have wages that compare to our own.
The big problem is trying to compete with very cheap Chinese and other third world labor markets, which is why NAFTA and GATT were such horrible disasters – and why TPP was going to be even worse, bringing in a whole bunch more third world markets.
Open trade with the third world – even without the various anti-US one-way tariffs, subsidies and other tricks that amount to tariffs – is going to kill us no matter what, because they pay their factory workers a dollar a day.
With Europe, it’s not such a big deal, if it’s real free trade instead of a one-way street.
Still, I’m for full autarky.
Autarky is the quality of being self-sufficient. Usually the term is applied to political states or their economic systems. Autarky exists whenever an entity can survive or continue its activities without external assistance or international trade. If a self-sufficient economy also refuses all trade with the outside world then it is called a closed economy.
Autarky is not necessarily an economic phenomenon; for example, a military autarky would be a state that could defend itself without help from another country, or could manufacture all of its weapons without any imports from the outside world.
I just think we need to get to that point before we start talking about anything else.
And it’s a long time before we’re going to get to that point, because of just how far globalism marched since the Reagan era.
But my position is admittedly very extreme, and not one that I really expect Trump to go with. We can have good trade deals without going full autarky.
